General Session Keynote Speaker
Thursday, March 3 9:30am - 10:30am
Jason Busch
Founder – Head of Strategy, Azul Partners, Inc. / Spend Matters
Technology is dramatically reshaping the worlds of trade involving the physical exchange of goods and services, transactional connectivity between trading partners and the financial exchange of credit and cash between buyers and suppliers. Add to this mix a variety of new (and old) intermediaries performing value added services from lending to holding inventory and the magnitude of change in the landscape becomes even more apparent. During this keynote session, Jason Busch, Founder and Head of Strategy, Spend Matters, will provide an overview of how technology is disrupting the worlds or purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash and trade financing activities - and offer his hypotheses on what the winners and losers will look like in this fast changing ecosystem. As part of this discussion, he’ll provide a level set on a range of topics, from new technology building blocks (e.g., platforms, networks, blockchain, analytics, etc.) to the shifting world of technology applications (e.g., eProcurement, e-invoicing, purchase-to-pay, invoice discounting, etc.). to new intermediaries (e.g., Amazon Business) - not to mention the evolving world of receivables and payables financing and how incumbents and upstarts are responding to changes in the market.
